when one would post things that was different from the status quo...on the Excite and MyWay boards... seem so long ago...

Now figure this... I have a lot of telephones.. embarassing to say but a lot...lot...lot... most of them are in dire straits of new batteries... have you notice the price of telephone batteries... my goodness, you can buy a whole new phone almost... but I like my old and outdated telephones because I don't have to read the directions to get them to working... most of the time I guess anyway...I bet if I read the directions on some of the phones I'd find out that they walk and talk by themselves.. let along answer them for you...lol

I know I must have bought a phone for 9.98 at Walmarts and the battery cost me 16.00... go figure...

So... because I have a lot of phones..... should I donate the battery operated ones to Goodwill or sponge for the high price of the new battery... I did say I like them for good reason....didn't I?

I'll read the response in the morning... it's time to partee... no too old for that... time to rest my weary bones....

Good Night

It's good to have an old princess phone around, for when the power goes out. None of the new phones work without power.

It would be nice to have some good old fashioned tube and transistor electronics around for the inevitable NEMP or solar flare that fries all of our lovely little toys.

You can fry modern electronics with a roll of scotch tape and your finger. 10,000 volts of sizzle.

Most of you guys are in the closet, so bring in a roll of scotch tape on a dry day and watch the sparks as you pull the roll quickly. It's fun.

PS... remember, rechargable batteries have toxic metals... recycle properly, so your great grandchildren won't have four ears.

Why?   Anything that helps them listen to their elders can't be all that bad !!
