The Washington Post’s revelations re the amazing growth of the U.S. intelligence community since 2001---so that we now have 1,271 agencies employing more than 854,000 payrollers---makes no sense, until one recognizes that this vast development  must be for offensive,  not  defensive, purposes.

One can only hope so.  Complacency cost us 3000 at Pearl.  Complacency cost us 3000 at the WTC.

Lets try initiative for a change.

Not to mention all the military troops that add to those numbers.

Most just sit around scratching their balls.

This is one of the factors contributing to the deficit, and this shit is all classified, so the cost can't even be tallied.

Totally bogus. Has been for decades. A giant, Top Secret Welfare system that merely pretends to be doing something useful, all the while sucking at the taxpayers titties..

Modern that is stupid. Intelligence is always for both. You want to know what your enemy will do, and that allows you to stop it. That is both defensive and offensive. Either you have know idea what intelligence is or you want to make some dishonest case that we are trying to start wars. Of all the arguements against the growth of intelligence agencies, such as we may not have the money, why do you go for the least supportable? You could argue that the overlap is such that we are overkilling, but instead you cling to some ancient liberal myth trying to scar America with implications of covert ops spying in every house looking to get us. You are a pathetic and dishonest liberal.

As CEO for the Institute for Remote Smelling, I have many times offered our services free of charge to the US government, but the money-making lobbyists and power brokers continually stand in the way of progress.

It's frustrating, but we never give up.

Complacency is not what resulted in 911, that was the result of blowback from interventionalism.

The enemies of the government are not the enemies of the people. The government is the primary enemy of the people, even if they refuse to see it. The government that puts the nation in danger like it did on 911 with its imperialism, that takes away liberty bit by bit with its patriot act, its claim to be able to assassinate anybody even citizens, its holding people with no charges, its torture.

And the article never said a thing about spies out to get americans even though they have in fact actually done that in the past and the military has been used against the people in the past too, not speculaton but FACT. The article mentioned none of that, however. It did say they spied on the UN to see what was privately being said about the Iraq resolution. And it pointed out that is not defense.

This is not a healthy democracy of the people. This is a sick oligarchy that is wholly owned by powerful interests and that is a major threat to both the world and to americans and it is time to VOTE THEM OUT. ALL OF THEM. And don't just replace them with freaking clones from the same old corrupt parties either. These swings from dem to rep and back are totally meaningless.

Interbreddo, you are a clueless fucking retard. My brother was in the military, and trust me, they don't have time to "scratch their balls".

Get a grip, you sniveling liberal puke.
